Prayer supporters

Two days before I left China, these three beautiful ladies rode a bus for an hour each way to come to my apartment to pray for me. The one in the middle is 8 months pregnant. What an honor to have these believers in Christ come and pray for my healing. I am blessed.

Outing

Before I returned to America, one of my last outings on my e-bike was to a lake in the city where I live. It's a beautiful area of town. It was hazy on this humid summer day, but I hope you'll enjoy the photos anyway.

In Houston

Sorry for the blog absence. As I have mentioned before, I am having a health crisis, and I am in Houston now to visit MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Because I don't want this blog to be tainted by the ugly details of cancer, I am not putting the fine details of my health information on here. But if you want to read about my health details so you can better know how to pray for me, I invite you to refer to offtheb10path.wordpress.com.

Please pray for me tomorrow morning as I go for a new biopsy that should settle my diagnosis once and for all. I won't know the results for a full week after the biopsy is done. Thank you for your intercession before God on my behalf. I believe He will hear and act according to your requests placed before Him.

Back in Texas

I arrived safely back in Texas. Please pray for me, especially as the next week may be intense with decisions, appointments, travel, etc. Thanks.

Mid-autumn festival and my week in review

Good morning on this fine Monday that is Mid-Autumn Festival in China!

I'll get right to the news now. Last Wednesday in Hong Kong it was determined that my lymph node biopsy was not good. I was told to plan for a quick return to the U.S. for treatment. So I returned on Thursday to where I live in East Asia, and started planning what to do.

I will fly back to the U.S. on Wednesday, September 10th. I'll arrive at the airport in my parents' hometown at about 10:30 p.m.. The following morning (Thursday) I will have an appointment with an oncologist in my parents'  hometown at 9 a.m. I'll probably end up at MD Anderson, but it will take a week or so more to get in there, so I 'll get started somewhere else first.

Little Mimi cannot come with me on the same trip. Some of my mom's cousins in California are looking into options to get her over. In the meantime, Mimi has someone to look after her in East Asia.

Someone may have to come move out my stuff out of my apartment if I am not back by the time the current rent is paid. So I was asked to try to pack some things to help the packer know what I might want with me back in America. In five days? One of which was spent wasted trying to get paperwork for my dog to travel? Don't like this part much. In fact, it is impossible to do.

I will be returning to America for a season. Unfortunately for me, football season. Even though I won't be in the Middle Kingdom, I'm going to keep posting on the blog that is not aptly named for someone living in Texas.

Quite seriously, I could really use your fervent prayers for healing and sanity as I get this diagnosis, pack and move internationally all in less than one week. Will you pray for me?
